George Scott

My fitness journey began when I was 10 years old in both football and wrestling. This was the foundation of my fitness until college where I played football at the University of Akron. I started doing CrossFit in 2010, looking for a new and fun way to stay in shape after playing college football. I competed in the 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 CrossFit Southeast Regionals on a team. I expanded out from CrossFit in 2015 and 2016 to focus on Powerlifting. I wanted to learn other disciplines of training and focus on a more strength base program. I am back, as an athlete and coach, in CrossFit at AK CrossFit since 2017.

My degree is in Kinesiology from the University of Akron, and I received my Masters in Exercise Science from Georgia State. I also hold a level 1 CrossFit certification.

Fitness is my passion in life, and I’ll always be an enthusiast to those around me and to my clients. It is an important aspect in life, and I believe exercise can provide a longer, healthier life.  I also enjoy Olympic Weightlifting, Power Lifting, cooking, and playing outside with my dog. I am a Pittsburgh native and a die-hard Steelers fan.
